1. Introduction

1.1

In order to better protect children in our community who are deemed to be at risk and in need of a Child Protection Plan, Solihull Local Safeguarding Children Board and West Midlands Police have agreed a joint initiative, providing the Police with a copy of the List of all the Children in Solihull who are subject to Child Protection Plans.

2. Solihull Child Protection and Review Unit Agrees the Following

2.1	To provide the West Midlands Police with a computer printout of all the Solihull children currently subject to Child Protection Plans. This will include the following: Name/known aliases; Date of Birth; Address; Categories of Significant Harm To provide an updated copy of the List of Children Subject to Child Protection Plans on a weekly basis to West Midlands Police at Lloyd House, Birmingham.
2.2	Any queries regarding the List should be made to the Child Protection and Review Unit.
2.3	The Child Protection and Review Unit will monitor the number of referrals from the Police as a result of this initiative. The Unit will take responsibility for providing the Keyworker with a copy of all information received.

3. West Midlands Police Agrees the Following

3.1

To ensure that the Police Lists of Children subject to Child Protection Plans forwarded by the Child Protection and Review Unit are regularly updated To make direct checks of the List for specific purposes only, and to alert the Child Protection and Review Unit of any incidents they attend where a child in the household is currently subject to a Child Protection Plan. This will be in the form of a faxed copy of the incident report, for the attention of the Child Protection and Review Unit Manager.
